North Bute Primary School are half way through their forest school programme and by all accounts it has been a wonderfully successful initiative.  The children have been learning all about forest ecology, Scottish flora and fauna, being safe in a woodland environment, how to set-up a camp area, and light and tend a campfire.  There are other lessons such as teamwork, collaboration and importance of good communication that will stay with them and guide them in other settings.

We hope that the next group of children to take part enjoy the programme as much as these pioneers.
