Bute Forest Open Day

Our Open Day was superbly well attended with 150 people making their way to the north end of the island for lots of fun! As well as a whole range of activities and a forestry demo with the Clydesdake horses, burgers provided by MacQueens were a great success and theywent above and beyond to help us out. The Electric Bakery provided buns and PrintPoint did a quick job on producing our maps. North Bute Primary School lent us tables and chairs for the day and Mill Cottage Garden Centre provided us with a range of plants to better show of our new product range. Davey Martin generously lent us an urn and generator which whilst tea and coffee were too hot on such a day for most people were greatly appreciated by the team!

I must also thank our committed volunteers, Melanie Dalton from Canon House, Lorna and Jim Mitchell, Ted Kercher, Tim Stobart, Steven Mason, Anne & Stewart Bissell, Glyn Collis, Paul Power and workshop providers Maria van Oostende, Shona Edwards, Anna Craigan and their helpers.
